two weeks of november

two weeks of early november

been busy at tekong this two weeks

no time to watch 007 new movie

no chance to get WoW wrath of lich king release

no luck to first see red alert 3 release

not able to attend service last sunday

no phone calls during the last 6days

-i just bought my warhammer online AoR at 56.90, weeks after it's intital release-

goodness, what can i say, just take things easy and lead a simple life

been brushing my teeth over & over since bookout (it's yellow, is it the rations?)

moderate washing my face (it's itchy, is it the camo cream?)

november, november... incredible

first week, in camp training with no bookout that weekend

urban ops lesson 1 & 2, follow by test simulation of my group on misson

fired lots of blank ammo, spent lots time cleaning my rifle

most energy consuming is the jump over window ledge for clearing room

fun and it's awesome activity compared to field camp

SoC lesson 4 and 5 with rifle, vest and helmet

did all stations, next lesson would be rundown and timer

SoC is always fun, the woosh factor is the remaining energy level to do a second run

Ippt

yes, there are some running 60s sprint, 120s jog & 30 min AGRun

as usual morning 5bxs but no other PT that week

improved in ippt +5 situps, +2 pullups, -0.8sec (shutter run), -1.18min (2.4)

my weakest SBJ, still remain the same at 198cm, how i wish it's meters

B.asic C.lose C.ombat T.raining lesson with dummy M16 rifle

the last lesson, we draw dummy rifles for this lesson with two instructors

was quite fun as we try to act fierce and willing to fight more than usual

the instructors will be slightly joking and tekan us one big one

because it's last lesson of BCCT

second week, field camp

day one, march 8000 meters FBO(40kg equipment) to rubber plantation aka forested area

set up bashaar tent, basically two leaking groundsheets and some pegs

dig and dig drainage system

eat combat rations and no washrooms!

training for tactical movement in forested area

day two, more training and more training with the trees, grass and mud

boring, yes

tiring, no

day three, cover and concealment training

then area cleaning + break tents (too obvious to enemy)

transit to camp site 2

day four, dig shell scrape = dig own grave

something like a long, deep pit which can lay inside for concealment & cover

dig, dig, dig, for hours and hours

backache, hand ache, blisters, cuts, headache, thirst, weak limbs, giddy

it's a humble-ing experience

everyone has to dig for their own no matter who they are

the fast help the slow, the strong help the weak

it's living hell BUT we sow the fruits of our labour

at night the sleep was better than usual, we slept in our grave like baby cots

the rifle, helmet was main obstacle b'cus we had to SBO(everything on except fieldpack) on while digging

the equipment slowed our progress, wained our strength, pained our muscles and cause abrasions

basically we had to SBO outfield whenever and whatever we do

even to the makeshift latrine area where we had to dig our own "toilet hole"

even when having meals

but we get to helmets off and L.oad B.earing V.est off when sleeping

incredible we managed to survive the unnecessary burden

and

get used to the burden, it's like a second clothing

we dig and cover up, dig and cover up again and again

b'cus we were slow, or didn't help our friends in need

we learn to be a team, no use being selfish or selfish section

where those that finished had to redo and redo because some has not done 'em

this day is incredible, we survived, we moved the earth, we remoulded the ground

day five, group battle + PT

the morning we did some PT and cover up the shell scrape for the last time

felt sorry for the ground, felt sad to cover my achievement, i miss my cosy pit

group battle course, or "grand battle" was awesome

one of the few days outfield that our rifles get to work

in groups of 3 we go on mission during that rainy afternoon

we had blanks, we had courage, we had fun, we had jokes

leopard crawl in the mud and running in the rain

fire blanks at the "enemy" we had artillery, we did much more!

heavy downpour that night, we had cold, cold night

most didn't change uniform nor powder bath

we slept on the ground with raincoat on; hugging our rifles

day six is bookout day and BIC! we were glad, very relieved

we marched from camp site 2 to BMTC school 1

we marched and marched with FBO till the end of days shall we stop

finally reached Taurus Coy BIC ground

leopard crawl + back crawl all the way under barbed wire and MPMGun fire

it was awesome, we crawl not for our lives but for bookout!

marched back to rocky hill with FBO + extra fieldpack

load up 5 toner and head to Coy line!

clean rifle, wash equipment and pack up, area cleaning, wash up & change for bookout

all in 3 hours! we had to do personal grooming like shaving and camo off

ended up delay, waited and waited; 1 and a half hours at Coy line

off to TFT, bookout orh!

darn there was no shuttle bus to interchange

SBS 19 was packed on peak 6.30 period

no choice we boarded the bus caring our duffel bags

home! first proper wash up in 6 days, seen first decent meal in 6 days

eat like P.I.G. "proper induction growl" stomach growl!

-conclusion-

weird, this field camp it rains daily! just some days heavily, some days light rain

good or not good is hard to say, best to answer : "all the same la"

muddy muddy slippery, just get used to it (at least not so much insects)

outfield we get to sleep early and eat snacks at our own discretion, which is awesome!

games day around the corner in approx 3 weeks

we will win!

my first good night sleep ! i love the city lights
